Publisher's black cloth over tan paper boards with gilt spine titles (a remarkably cheap binding from Doubleday given the massive - 823 page - size of the volume). Stated "First Edition" on the copyright page, copyright (c) 1978 Stephen King, indicating first printing of the first edition (with code "T39" present in the gutter of page 823 and T.S. $12.95 inside flap dust jacket price).

A fine copy in a fine dust jacket, with just a touch of rubbing to spine panel. A superior collector's copy of King's fourth book, with contemporary signature.
