One of an unknown number of subscriber's copies signed by the author on the front free endpaper. It is rumored that this number could be as low as 250 copies. Extraordinary jacket illustration by Hannes Bok. A near fine copy with a very slight spine lean, clean and tight, in a near fine dust jacket with some mild chipping at corners and spine panel edges, with a touch of rubbing on the front panel and folds, and a bit of age-darkening on the spine panel. That said, the book is in overall wonderful condition making an excellent presentation of this classic work with it's superb jacket illustration by Hannes Bok, which shows clean and bright. A handsome copy. Scarce.
